Food Culture
Are you interested in learning how to prepare a Finnish meal outdoors on a bonfire? We arrange ice fishing tours during which we prepare a Finnish lunch on open fire. If you are interested in learning more about the secrets of outdoor cooking, you can contact us for a private outdoor dinner. During our Introduction to Finnish Nature and Campfire Cooking – tour we will prepare a 3-course meal outdoors, from locally produced ingredients.
Traditional Logwork
Finland is a heavily forested country, and wood has been the most widely used construction material. Many of the wooden houses of Lapland were destroyed during the WWII, but there are still some highly-skilled carpenters and log-builders keeping the Finnish woodworking traditions alive. During our Traditional Finnish log building- outdoor tour we get to know Finnish log building, a traditional profession and its special techniques, as well as see the tree’s journey starting from the forest into a finished product.

Finnish Music and folklore
Finland is known for having the most heavy-metal bands in the world per capita. Regardless of the musical style, Finnish music is often inspired by Finnish folklore and ancient stories. During our Finnish Music and folklore – tour we learn about the Finnish folklore, history of Finnish music and visit places that inspire Finnish composers in their creative work.
