There are situations in which either you or us might need to cancel a scheduled tour. For more information on cancellations, see our cancellation policy – page.

Pick-up and drop-off services are always a part of our products. However, pick-up and drop-off are free of charge withing 10 kilometers of the Rovaniemi city center.

If you are staying further away from the city center, but within the Rovaniemi city limits, we are still able to arrange a transfer for you for an additional fee. Please contact us for a price for the transfer services.

The Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon, and we cannot promise that we will see the Northern Lights during our tour. However, we are always doing our best in giving you the best possible chance to see them. For this reason we use several weather and space weather forecast services: Ilmatieteenlaitos (weather + space weather forecasts), Yr.no (weather) and Auroras Now! (space weather).

In case that the chance for seeing the Aurora seems very low, we will call you in advance (please ensure that you have provided us with a functioning phone number with country code). You will then be able to join the program as planned, or cancel the trip free of charge. The price of the trip will not be refunded if we do not see the northern lights during the tour.

In order for a tour to be arranged, we need to have at least two travelers joining it. That being said, you will be able to join a tour that people have already signed up for. Send us a booking request and we will let you know the dates when you can join a tour!

We do not offer winter/thermal clothing for the winter season 2021-2022. Dressing up correctly for cold weather is very important, which is why we have made a winter clothing checklist for you. If you are lacking the necessary winter gear, let us know at least one day in advance, so that we can arrange rental of winter clothing for you for an additional charge (30€ per person).

Trip-specific winter gear (e.g. snowshoes or seat covers) is always included in the tour price. See each tour’s description for more detailed information on what’s included in the price.

Our winter season begins 1.11. The season ends 31.3.

We are doing our best to ensure that you have a safe experience with us! We have therefore taken measures to ensure everyone’s safety during the activities. Our guides are fully vaccinated, working only when they are healthy, and follow our covid-19 policies, which you can find here.  Your responsibility as a guest is to inform us as soon as you can and cancel your booking with us, if you experience any symptoms that can be covid-19 -related. In addition to this,

  • We offer a 100% free cancellation policy for the winter season 2022-2023.
  • Our maximum group size for 2022-2023  is 6 customers + 1 guide.
  • Safety distances:  we stay outdoors for most of the time during our tours, and 1-2 meter safety distances are easy to keep most of the time.
  • When safety distances cannot be kept,  we recommend wearing a face mask.
  • Hand sanitizer is available during the tours.

When you book a tour through our website (by sending a booking request, calling or e-mail) you will pay by cash or credit card in the beginning of the tour.
